The Lancaster School of Psychodrama and Experiential
Psychotherapies, directed by Karen Carnabucci, LCSW, TEP, has begun its first
full year of studies, training and supervision. A four-part training on
Trauma-Informed Care with Experiential Psychotherapies, as well as half-day and
full-day classes are scheduled throughout the year, along with a monthly
supervision group of mental health and addictions professionals who wish to gain
in-depth training relating to their day-to-day therapeutic and educational
work.
The school focuses on the teaching and practical application
of the action methods of psychodrama, sociometry, sociodrama, group
psychotherapy and Family and Systemic Constellations. Classes have a strong
experiential basis, providing the opportunity to embody the teachings from the
inside out, and attendees have the option to volunteer for personal work.
“We learn from each other, and everyone has a valuable
perspective to contribute,” Carnabucci says that teaching within a group format
is exceptionally valuable.
