SUP Yoga Offers a Unique Way to Connect With Nature

Kami Kiritsis, owner of both The Yoga Place, in Ephrata, and Aqua Om Paddle, is offering stand-up paddleboard (SUP) yoga classes throughout the summer at Blue Marsh Lake, providing a unique way to combine mindfulness, movement and time outdoors. The experience takes yoga beyond the studio, inviting participants to practice on the water while surrounded by nature.
Designed for all experience levels, SUP yoga requires no prior paddleboarding or yoga experience, and all equipment is provided. Participants may practice seated, kneeling or standing, with modifications offered throughout the class. “The water creates a unique environment that encourages greater awareness of the body, breath and present moment,” says Kiritsis.
Scheduled SUP yoga dates include July 11, 21 and 25; August 1, 8, 11, 22 and 29; and September 12. Additional on-the-water wellness offerings include SUP Pilates and floating sound immersions.
Cost: $44. Location: Meet at Old Church Road parking lot, in Leesport. For more information, call 484-854-1271, email [email protected] or visit TheYogaPlaceInEphrata.com or AOPaddle.com.
