New Art and Creativity Studio Opens in Lancaster

Jo Davis

Artist Jo Davis has opened a new working studio and creative sanctuary at 929 North Duke Street, in Lancaster, offering visitors an opportunity to slow down, experience art-making and reconnect with their own creativity. The studio serves as home base for Davis’ coaching and workshop offerings, a space shaped by her own daily practice and designed to encourage reflection, curiosity and creative exploration.

Davis’ approach centers on art as a wellness practice rather than traditional art instruction. Research increasingly shows that creative expression can support mental health, relieve stress and help regulate the nervous system. Her studio offers a welcoming environment where visitors can explore creativity as a pathway to personal well-being. No artistic experience is required.

The space functions as both a working studio and a place for community connection, inviting people to step away from daily pressures and engage with creativity in a relaxed setting.
