 Natural Awakenings Lancaster-Berks

Letter From the Publisher, January 2014

I remember sitting as a young child among quilters in my grandmother’s living room. With thimble and simple instruction, I would set out to contribute suitable stitching to the fabric art patched together from various sources. Through sequence and symmetry, the finished product was a vibrant gestalt: a unified whole that was much greater than the sum of its parts.

Pattern and design combine in dynamic expression to create the world we live in. Whether viewed through the lens of sacred geometry, nature, biology, Kabbalah or art, these intricate displays of wonder lend an intelligent language to the kaleidoscopic connections that make up the Universe.

My early artistic interests and fascination with the human body collided, leading me down a path of study and eventual passion for the world of healing. Meaningful systems emerged in the quest to demystify personal wholeness as the interplay of perception, light and form set the stage for decoding what leads to congruence of body, mind and spirit.

As unique individuals, we each have our own set of blueprints to work with and the privilege to explore the needs and nuances that empower and enhance our vitality. A holistic perspective and the perfect mix of intent and intuition provide a wisdom that allows for interdependent collaboration amidst a community of kindred spirits. The gift comes through listening to inner guidance for conscious choices that bring peace and healing. Autonomy in action is crucial for transformation, one step at a time.

As a practitioner and publisher, I celebrate an evolving healthcare paradigm that honors the freedom to pursue a life of balance through natural, integrative approaches. During a month that represents a powerful time to review lifestyle, motives and focus, this first issue of 2014 provides a thorough look at current options for staying well, highlighting the solid web of professional expertise that is readily available to support our highest good.
