Horn Farm Center will celebrate the grand opening of its newly restored Education Center during Welcome Back Weekend, May 2 and 3, 2026, at its York campus. The free community open house marks the reopening of the historic farmhouse, rebuilt and updated with energy-efficient improvements after a 2021 fire.

The weekend will include live music, educational demonstrations, light refreshments and self-guided tours, giving visitors a chance to explore the renewed space and learn about the center’s work in regenerative agriculture, ecological stewardship and land-based education. On Saturday, attendees can also enjoy the 14th annual Plant Sale, offering organically grown vegetables, native plants, perennials and other garden favorites.

“The reopening of the farmhouse marks an important milestone for our organization and our community,” says Executive Director Alexis Campbell. “We’re excited to welcome the community back after five long years of rebuilding and share how this facility will support ecological education for years to come.”
