GoggleWorks Gardens will celebrate the return of spring with its fourth annual Community Seed and Plant Swap from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 14, 2026. The event invites gardeners of all experience levels to gather in the spirit of sharing, sustainability and community connection at The Gardens at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, in Reading.

Rooted in the long-standing tradition of seed sharing as a way to distribute resources and strengthen community resilience, the swap offers an inclusive opportunity to exchange seeds, plants and garden-related materials. Participants are encouraged—but not required—to bring clearly labeled seeds, plant cuttings or seedlings, along with gardening tools, pots, seed-starting trays, clean jars, or environmentally focused books and media.

Attendees are also welcome to simply receive seeds and learn, making the event especially supportive for beginning gardeners. Knowledgeable volunteers will be available throughout the day to answer questions about seed starting and gardening basics.

Seeds more than four years old and unwashed containers will not be accepted. Those unable to attend in person may contribute seeds by mail.

Location: 201 Washington St., Reading, PA 19601. For more information, visit
