Runners, hikers and their four-legged companions are invited to hit the scenic trails of Lancaster County Central Park for the Sierra Club–Lancaster Group’s 15th annual Polar Bear 5K Trail Run/Hike at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026. This fun, family-friendly event features a 3.1-mile course of rolling terrain and forested paths—and plenty of prizes to go around.

Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers overall, the top three in each age and gender category, and the first three participants to finish with their dogs. Unique door and dog prizes add to the excitement, making this a beloved local tradition for outdoor enthusiasts.

Race-day registration and check-in open at 8:30 a.m. at Pavilion 22 (Kiwanis Lodge). All proceeds support the Sierra Club–Lancaster Group’s climate and conservation initiatives, including its community “green project” grants and free educational programs.
