Cavallo Health is a comprehensive wellness clinic providing hands-on and computer-assisted chiropractic care and spinal decompression, along with integrative, functional medicine for patients of all ages. Their mission is to address the body as a whole, aiming to prevent health issues before they arise. From prenatal to safe and gentle pediatric care, services are available through adulthood and into later life.

Chiropractic services include digital X-ray and adjunctive procedures such as massage roller bed tables and electric muscle stimulation with heat or ice. Groundbreaking spinal decompression therapy is offered as a non-surgical way to relieve pressure in the discs, stimulating blood flow through the spine and promoting long-term healing of herniated and degenerated discs.

Wellness services at Cavallo Health include foot detox, IV (intravenous) vitamin therapy, cranial sacral therapy, as well as natural supplements and herbs. Reported to boost serotonin and dopamine levels, their latest addition is red light therapy to reduce pain and inflammation, improve skin health and support improved mood and sleep.

Muscle and joint creams are available to alleviate stiff, sore, arthritic tissues and joints, as well as supplements for inflammation, headaches, Lyme disease, hormone imbalance, mold illness, digestive issues and more.

Founded in 2012 by Johnathan Cavallo, DC-DACRB, and his wife, Ashley, other staff include Steven Zellers, DC, who practices both chiropractic and functional medicine; Quinn Ji, DC, providing both chiropractic and cranial sacral therapy; Matthew J. Weaver, DC, an expert in the Gonstead technique; and Barb Nistor, CRNP, specializing in family practice and IV Therapy. Cavallo, born into a family of chiropractors, carries on the family legacy, bringing further expertise by holding one of only 35 peer-tested state Board-Certified Diplomates of Rehabilitation.

About their advanced chiropractic care, Cavallo says, “Many chiropractic clinics do not offer X-rays. We feel it is important to see what a patient’s spine looks like, and it allows us to adjust our techniques and treatments to be very specific. Taking a personalized approach, their practitioners identify the root causes of symptoms and illnesses, and tailor treatment plans to each patient and their goals.

Some of the most common concerns addressed through chiropractic or functional medicine include back pain, hip, knee or shoulder pain, headaches, pregnancy related pain, chronic pain, frozen shoulder, sleep issues, leaky gut and other GI concerns, depression/anxiety, arthritis, physical function and performance, Epstein-Barr, hormone imbalances, stress, and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Cavallo says, “Helping patients without the use of drugs and surgery is the best thing about my job. Seeing people instantly feel better and witnessing that during a visit is so rewarding!”

Cavallo Health is located at 656 E. Main St., in New Holland (717-351-0631); and 11 Green Tree Rd., in Quarryville (717-806-5672). For appointments and more information, visit CavalloClinic.com.
