 Natural Awakenings Lancaster-Berks

More Therapeutic Equestrian Options

(L-R) Kim Miller, Kailey Herlihey, Danielle Moor

Take Heart Counseling and Equine-Assisted Therapy has added two new counselors: Licensed Behavioral Specialist and Licensed Professional Counselor Danielle Moore, and marriage and family therapist Kim Miller. Both are accepting new clients.

Moore supports children and adolescents diagnosed with ASD and ADHD. She offers understanding, techniques and invaluable support to parents navigating the intricate world of neurodiversity, including anxiety and depression.

Miller holds dual certification through Natural Lifemanship in trauma-focused equine-assisted psychotherapy, as a mental health professional and equine professional. She has worked with foster care and adopted youth and their families, as well as provided therapy to children, individuals, couples and families. She also has training in Theraplay and Trust-Based Relational Intervention.

A revamped connected horsemanship program with coordinator Kailey Herlihey includes the new Equi-Sense Academy, which empowers equestrians to empathize with their horses through a relationship-based education in equine management, psychology and horsemanship.

The Academy will bring new options to expand the horizons of equestrian learning. Participants can take four different types of lessons, all tailored to grow students of all ages and experience levels.

Prices vary. Location: 699 Wooltown Rd., Wernersville. For more information, email [email protected] or visit TakeHeartCounseling.com/connected-horsemanship.
