Helene Williams, reiki master/teacher, has released her summer schedule including several in-person reiki classes and Sunday evening online meditations. Reiki I training for healthcare providers (open to all) will take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., July 11 and 18, 2021; Reiki II Okuden classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m, August 22 and 29, 2021. Training for healthcare providers includes 12.5 nursing contact hours and 12 massage therapy hours. Sunday evenings online meditations are from 7 pm to 7:30 pm and are by donation.

A registered nurse, Williams has 10 years of experience providing reiki to patients in hospital and hospice settings and has more than 14 years of experience teaching and practicing traditional Japanese reiki. Williams notes, “Reiki is backed by evidence-based research and has been shown to help with chronic pain management, decreasing stress and anxiety, and overall well-being.”
