 Natural Awakenings Lancaster-Berks

ASSETS Birthday Wish for Changed Communities

From January through May, ASSETS will share 25 events and 25 stories of impact in their 25th year. One such event will be the Cultivate Lancaster Entrepreneurs Forum, taking place from 5 to 9 p.m., January 24, at The Candy Factory, in Lancaster. This bi-annual networking and workshop series enables small business owners, entrepreneurs and business resource providers the opportunity to share their collective experience, with the goal of connection, collaboration and growth.

A nonprofit based in Lancaster, and serving Lancaster, Reading, York and surrounding areas, ASSETS works with start-ups and existing businesses to form a more ethical economy. By offering in-depth training and creative financing for entrepreneurs by working with established businesses to improve their social and environmental impact, the ASSETS team of innovators endeavors to change the ecosystem of business and build an economy in which everyone can prosper.

They believe that we must harness the power of businessthe largest sector in our economyto alleviate the economic injustice that nonprofits and the government cannot solve on their own. To our community, the ASSETS team says, “Join the conversation. Let’s use business as a force for good.”
