In year two of their #GiveLocal campaign, Lemon Street Market customers donated more than $6,000 to local community organizations during 2018, including Pregnancy and Postpartum Mental Health of Lancaster County; The Mix at Arbor Place; The Common Wheel; Meals on Wheels Lancaster County; Lancaster Farm Sanctuary; and Lancaster Farmland Trust. Shoppers were invited to “round up” at the register to support partner groups that support the Lemon Street Market mission of cultivating food, health and community.

 

In 2017, customers raised more than $3,000 for Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster; ASSETS; Lancaster County Conservancy; United Way of Lancaster County; Clare House; and the Power Packs Project.

  

By shopping at Lemon Street Market, customers directly support hundreds of local farmers and producers, keeping money in our local economy and helping food entrepreneurs support their families,” says Patricia Haverstick, owner“Eighty percent of each dollar spent at a local, family-owned business is returned to the local economy versus only 20 percent of every dollar spent at large, corporate-owned stores.”
