Yuriko Beaman, owner of Joy & Space, LLC, is offering a Spark Joy workshop from 3 to 4:30 p.m., August 19, at The Salt Lounge, in Wyomissing. In this workshop, Beaman will share techniques from Marie Kondo’s Japanese art of decluttering and the KonMari tidying/decluttering process: how to tidy our homes and change our relationship with objects; how to use a space-saving folding method that can be immediately implemented; and how to jumpstart a personal tidying marathon so tidying doesn’t need to happen again. 

Beaman, a certified KonMari consultant, coaches clients during the decluttering process. Clients work through categories, starting with clothes, and determine which items bring them joy. By the end of each lesson, clients have a deeper connection to themselves and the items they own.  

She holds an M.S. in clinical psychology, has taught classes on organizing, and has been providing individual coaching for over 10 years. She is also a yoga instructor, RYT-200.
