Muhlenberg Community Library Hosts Traveling Exhibition and Programs

Explore Earth: Our Changing Planet, a national traveling exhibition exploring a global view of our changing environment, will be on display at Muhlenberg Community Library, in Laureldale, from January 13 through March 9, 2018. Open to the public during library hours, the free exhibition will be accompanied by a series of programs and events, including a family-friendly program on January 20 by Folks Butterfly Farm, which will include interactive contact with caterpillars and chrysalis, anatomy with a costume and the habitat and life cycle of butterflies.

“We are proud that Muhlenberg Community Library was selected to be one of 14 sites nationwide to host the Explore Earth exhibit,” shares Library Director Melissa Adams. “We think people of all ages and backgrounds will find that the exhibition explores earth science in a way that is understandable, captivating and relevant.”

Explore Earth: Our Changing Planet was organized by Space Science Institute’s National Center for Interactive Learning, the American Library Association Public Programs Office, the Lunar and Planetary Institute and the Afterschool Alliance. This project was made possible through the support of a grant from the National Science Foundation.
