For a lot of women, Saturday “date nights” always get reserved for spouses and significant others—but Saturday “date days”? Those are for the ladies: the girlfriends, sisters, mothers and daughters who want to get out and about, spend some time together and find a little rejuvenation while they’re at it.

For Saturday-seeking women in Lancaster County, OLP Events already has October 14 figured out. The local event-production company will bring its Lancaster County Women’s Expo back to Spooky Nook Sports, in Manheim, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., October 14. The sixth annual Women’s Expo will draw together women of all ages and interests for a lively experience of shopping, entertainment, inspiration and relaxation and to learn about products and services.

With more than 100 exhibitors—from larger businesses to small franchises and “solopreneurs”—the variety of vendors will provide women plenty of opportunities to shop and gather information about health and wellness, travel, home improvements, nutrition, beauty and more.

Throughout the day, the main stage will be host to a range of live demonstrations and entertainment, from a fashion show by Shelia Frank and a musical theater performance by Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre to a firearms presentation by Trop Gun Shop.

Elsewhere on the expo floor, visitors will find a LuLaRoe pop-up shop, fully equipped with a “dressing room” to try on the brand’s colorful and comfortable leggings, dresses and shirts. Continuing those themes of fun and color, ladies can don costume pieces and props for a few fun shots inside the FX Photo Booth.

Plus, Bailee’s Homebrew & Wine Supplies and the Vineyard at Hershey will offer wine-making demos and tastings from their broad selections of whites, reds and rosés.

A little free pampering will be available from Lancaster School of Cosmetology & Therapeutic Bodywork students, who will be providing mini manicures, and from Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa – Lancaster, who will offer chair massages and NuFace facial toning and lifting treatments.

In addition to the products available to purchase from the Women’s Expo’s exhibitors, guests can also go home with a lot of something for nothing: The day’s door prizes will include three gift cards valued at $500 each from Unique Limousine and $1,500 in gift cards from Blossom Med Spa, the event sponsors.

Sponsors for the 2017 Lancaster County Women’s Expo are 50plus LIFE; Advanced Vein and Laser Center; Blossom Med Spa; Blue Ridge Communications; BusinessWoman magazine; Heritage Floors; LCTV; 96.1 SOX; Unique Limousine; WARM 103.3; WFYL; WHTM abc27; WIOV, The Big I 105; and WJTL.
