The Great Social Enterprise Pitch is an idea incubator and business plan competition for concepts that use a business model and revenues to have a positive social or environmental impact in Lancaster. There are 11 business ideas currently working through a business plan incubator process. They will all participate in a crowdfunding phase in September to raise funds for their ideas, and the top five will pitch their ideas in front of judges and an audience for cash and pro-bono prizes at the finale event. 

The crowdfunding launch event will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m., September 6, at ASSETS, in Lancaster. The finale event, Live Pitch, is an introduction to the businesses, and will take place at 7 p.m., October 6, at the Ware Center, in Lancaster. Community members are invited to attend. 

The Great Social Enterprise Pitch highlights different ways of doing business, and it will introduce the audience to some great local businesses in the community who are producing amazing products and creating social change through business.
