Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks Hosts September Events

Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks (BCSS), located in West Reading, will host three different events during the month of September. The Fall Support Group for Women Newly Diagnosed with Breast Cancer, designed for women who are going through treatment or have recently completed treatment, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., September 7, 14 and 21, at the BCSS office. Registration is required. 

 

The Fourth Annual Team Holly: Hear Our Voices 5k Run & Walk, will be held on September 10, at Grings Mill Recreation Center. The family-friendly event includes face painting, a bake sale, a large raffle with great prizes, refreshments and more. Community members can support the event by being sponsors, donating raffle prizes, running, walking or attending the event. 

 

Pink Power Night: The Fear of Cancer Recurrence, will be presented by Dr. Jennifer Tzoumas, psychologist, at 7 p.m., September 11, at the BCSS office. Pink Power Night meetings are free, upbeat and fun, and further info can found under the Events tab on the BCSS homepage. 

 

BCSS is a non-profit organization that provides support, education and outreach for women, men and families affected by breast cancer in Berks County.
