Gardner’s Mattress & More, in Lancaster, is further expanding its certified organic mattress selection. Due to the overwhelming popularity of these chemical-free beds, Gardner’s is tripling its selection to include a broader range of feels, to meet more sleep needs at prices to fit more budgets. Six certified organic mattresses from two eco-friendly brands, OrganicPedic by OMI and Naturepedic, will be joining the already popular Savvy Rest organic mattresses at Gardner’s Plaza Boulevard showroom. 

An all-natural, organic mattress is free of potentially harmful chemicals. Instead, natural rubber is used. Natural rubber is naturally hypoallergenic and dust mite resistant, making it ideal for allergy sufferers. Also, natural rubber is antimicrobial, inhibiting the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew, which can cause asthma and respiratory distress. No synthetic materials are added in order to provide these benefits. 

The Gardner’s staff is not only dedicated to helping people sleep well, but also cares about their impact on the environment. When a new mattress is purchased, the old mattress is traded into Gardner’s and upcycled by a local craftsperson who reuses steel coil units to make a new mattress.
