Mandarin Rose to Offer Lomilomi Hawaiian Massage
Mar 29, 2014 09:53AM
Licensed massage therapist Carla Saylor, owner of Mandarin Rose, a spa located inside the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square, has added temple-style lomilomi massage to its menu of services. In the 1,500-year-old technique, the forearms and kneading are used rhythmically to mimic ocean waves. A gentle, nurturing and restorative approach, lomilomi aims to decrease both physical and emotional tension by increasing the flow of blood and lymph, facilitating myofascial release and revitalizing the head and face.
Mandarin Rose employs other modalities, including traditional Thai massage and Jin Shin Jyutsu. Saylor, who also teaches all three levels of Reiki including master-teacher, seeks to provide an eclectic and intuitive approach to relieve stress, fascial restriction and pain.
Location: 25 S. Queen St., 5th fl., Lancaster. For appointments, Reiki class schedule and more information, call 717-207-4076 or visit MandarinRoseSpa.com. See ad. p. 33.
