 Natural Awakenings Lancaster-Berks

A Day of Yoga for Any Body at Yoga On Orange

Yoga on Orange and their current class of teachers-in-training will hold a three-hour, drop-in event, Yoga For Any Body, from 1 to 4 p.m., March 16. Each hour throughout the afternoon, yoga sessions suitable for any and every body will be taught and will include instructed breathing and relaxation.

Teachers will be on hand to answer questions and mingle with attendees, and light fare will be served. In lieu of payment, charitable cash donations will be collected for the Power Packs Project, a program that provides recipes for low-cost, weekend meals, the ingredients to make them and additional staples like peanut butter and cereal to families that need help when the school’s lunch program is not available to them.

Yoga On Orange, a registered yoga school, begins its next 200- and 300-hour yoga teacher trainings April 5. The curriculum, taught by Maria van der Meij, a yoga teacher since 1992,  develops a firm foundation in teaching hatha yoga through the study of yoga philosophy, anatomy, physiology,  posture alignment and yoga therapy.

Location: 129 E. Orange St., 4th fl., Lancaster. For more information, call 717-392-3992, email [email protected] or visit YogaOnOrange.com.
