Therapeutic Massage Location Expands Services with New Practitioner

Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and Certified Yoga Teacher Debra Dower has joined Carol Fisher, LMT, of A Therapeutic Touch and Tara Hackman, LMT, at Unwind Therapeutic Massage, in Willow Street. The therapists each specialize in different massage techniques.

Dower takes an integrative approach, combining the application of Thai, Swedish and deep tissue massage therapies, with knowledge of neuromuscular therapy, body logic and structural alignment to create a physiological change in clients. She also teaches yoga at West End Yoga and provides private yoga sessions as an additional modality to assist the process of balancing the body.

Fisher, a graduate of Baltimore School of Massage, specializes in posture assessment, deep tissue, prenatal and oncology massage, as well as sports modalities. She helps clients release stress by increasing circulation, releasing lactic acid buildup and relinquishing muscle tension. She also educates clients in developing self-help programs at home.

Hackman, a graduate of Lancaster School of Massage and the owner of Unwind Therapeutic Massage, has developed a therapeutic, yet relaxing massage that combines Swedish, connective and deep tissue massage with neuromuscular and polarity massage techniques to create unique and individualized sessions for each client.

Location: 2600 S. Willow St. Pike, in Willow Street. Each therapist schedules appointments independently; for Debra Dower, call 717-283-7595; for Carol Fisher, call 717-715-5208; and for Tara Hackman, call 717-799-8092.
