Pop-Up Yoga Lancaster
Nov 28, 2013 12:18AM
Pop-Up Yoga Lancaster is a grassroots movement, new to Lancaster, that was created by a group of experienced and passionate yoga teachers dedicated to spreading their love of yoga through affordable, donation-based classes and outreach events in interesting such spaces as local art galleries, restaurants, music venues and small movie theatres, where life and yoga become one. As with other pop-up concepts, the model allows instructors to teach outside of traditional studios, where they often face high overhead, and instead lead classes in venues that have space to share
The movement allows venues, teachers and students to support each other more directly. Local businesses participating with Pop-Up Yoga Lancaster include Zoetropolis, It’s Modern Art, Fulton Street Arts Cooperative, Commonwealth on Queen, Tellus360, Roaring Brook Market, The Seed, Tim’s Fitness Center, Knead it Massage and Bodyworks, Swedish Motors Facility and the Pleasant View Retirement Center.
Cost: donation request of $10. For more information on locations, class schedules and/or instructors, visit PopUpYogaLancaster.com.
