Santih Space Offers Chair and Prenatal Yoga, Reiki and Blessingway Planning

Karen Kelly Simpson, a Reiki II practitioner, Blessingway event planner and registered yoga teacher, has started Santih Space, a personal business that brings a peaceful approach to yoga through special sessions at various locations. Simpson will lead a prenatal yoga series at 6:15 on Sundays, from December 15 to January 26, at Family Trees Birth Place, in Lancaster. Prenatal yoga supports expectant mothers through pregnancy and postpartum.

Simpson, who has practiced yoga for more than 30 years, is certified as a Vinyasa instructor in the Baptiste Power Yoga style, as well as a Lakshmi Voelker chair yoga instructor through the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, and a prenatal yoga teacher through East Meets West Yoga Center, in Vienna, Virginia.

Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga helps clients of any age who have limitations that disallow a traditional mat practice. Classes, which are open to the public, begin in January at Brethren Village Retirement Community, in Lititz. Simpson also leads traditional yoga classes, coordinated through the Penn Manor School district's Wellness Program for their faculty and staff, two to three times each week at different campuses.

Cost: Prenatal series, $105 for those enrolled by Dec. 1; $120 after; drop-ins, $20 per session. Location: 2481 New Holland Pike, Lancaster. For more information, call 717-872-4639, email [email protected] or visit Facebook.com/SantihSpace.
