Mary Woolson, a holistic lifestyle coach and energy healer, is establishing the Healing Touch Lancaster chapter in response to growing interest in Healing Touch energy therapy in the area. Group meetings are scheduled for 7 p.m., the third Tuesday of each month, at RN Healing Touch Caritas Coaching, LLC. The meetings are open to all practitioners of Healing Touch and those interested in learning more about becoming a Healing Touch practitioner.

Healing Touch is an energy therapy in which practitioners consciously use their hands in a heart-centered and intentional way to support and facilitate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and healing. According to Woolson, several studies funded by organizations such as the National Institutes of Health and NASA suggest that Healing Touch is effective for physical and mental relaxation, pain management, anxiety and stress reduction and increasing one’s sense of vitality.

The meetings provide an opportunity for practitioners to support one another personally and professionally, exchange services as part of self-care and collaborate on Healing Touch projects and programs within the community.
