Creative Crafts and Reuse Resource Expands Hours

Lancaster Creative Reuse will expand its operating hours to include evenings on the first Friday of each month from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Use of the store’s Open Craft Table, where children can enjoy fun activities using up-cycled materials, is free during this time.

Lancaster Creative, which is a project of the nonprofit Keystone Art & Culture Center, strives to connect community excess to those that can use it creatively, with a mission to encourage reuse, inspire creativity and increase access to the arts by making it more affordable. The process starts with individuals and businesses that donate excess craft materials, as well as samples and seconds. Through the store, those items are made available at low cost for creative reuse by schools, daycare centers, retirement communities, youth organizations, churches, families, crafters and artists.

Location: 1865 Lincoln Hwy. E. For more information, call 717-617-2977, email [email protected] or visit LancasterCreativeReuse.org.
