Free Kids' Crafts Offered Fridays Throughout Summer

Lancaster Creative Reuse (LCR) will host a free open craft table for children to create whatever they like from a variety of reused craft materials, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fridays, in June, July and August. LCR is an arts, crafts and sewing supply resale shop located just east of Lancaster city. Individuals and businesses donate excess craft stash, as well as samples and seconds, that are sorted and made available at low cost to the public for creative reuse by schools, day care centers, retirement communities, youth organizations, churches, families, crafters and artists.

Called up-cycling, the act of reusing, instead of tossing out, excess craft materials matches community supply to community need, inspires creativity and increases access to the arts through affordability. LCR is a volunteer-run project of the nonprofit Keystone Art & Culture Center.

Location: 1865 Lincoln Hwy. E. For more information, call 717-617-2977, email [email protected], or visit LancasterCreativeReuse.org or Facebook.com/LancasterCreativeReuse.
