New Movement Classes Ease Moms Through Pregnancy

A new movement class for expecting mothers, Pregnant Pauses, will be offered by Donna Bervinchak, Feldenkrais and Child’Space Method practitioner and owner of Improving Through Movement of Lancaster. Trained by Alan Questel, the creator of Pregnant Pauses, Bervinchak will hold a series of six classes teaching gentle movements to aid pregnant women in daily activities, increase energy and improve sleep. The first class of its kind in Lancaster, the series will take place at 11:30 a.m., Tuesdays, May 7, 14, 28, June 4 and 11, at Core Wellness Yoga Studio, in Landisville.

Pregnant Pauses incorporates the innate intelligence of the nervous system with musculoskeletal approaches for an efficient way of adapting to changes in each maternity stage. Participants will learn a new and more effective approach to Kegel exercises and ways to help alleviate pregnancy pain and prepare for the birthing process. This direct application of the Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education creates healthier, happier pregnancies by facilitating comfort and ease of living through intentional movement.

Location: 301 Main St., Landisville. For more information or preregistration (required), call 717-285-0399, email [email protected] or visit FeldenkraisBlog.com or PregnantPauses.us.
