Vegetarian Cooking Expert Publishes Recipes for Balanced Living

Local author Linnea Jepsen recently launched a book compiling experience from more than 27 years of teaching vegetarian cooking classes and exploring the entire realm of whole-food preparation. Entitled Linnea’s Kitchen, Yummy Ayurvedic Recipes and Life Lessons, the book draws from the thought-schools of Ayurveda and Svroopa yoga on topics of self-nurturing and balance, disease prevention and wellness maintenance, as well as criteria for making good food choices. She will sign books from 6 to 6:30 p.m., March 8, at Shri Yoga, where a dinner buffet will be served from 6 to 7:30 p.m., featuring her recipes as prepared by Gaytari Wellness.

Jepsen, who began teaching cooking classes in 1985, believes that “the world is finally ready to hear the message: vegetarian eating is healthier and more environmentally sound on every level.” Linnea’s Kitchen invites us to view food as medicine, to use the comprehensive text as a guide to our own inner healing and to make empowering choices that enhance personal vitality and positively affect the larger world community.

Although she has retired from teaching cooking classes on a formal basis, Jepsen continues to instruct yoga classes and is available for private or group cooking demonstrations and classes.

Event Location: 1015 Penn Ave., Wyomissing. For more information, email [email protected] or search for Linnea's Kitchen, Yummy Ayurvedic Recipes and Life Lessons on Facebook.com
