Radiant Light Center of Reading will host its annual Radiant Light Holistic Healing & Metaphysical Expo, from 10 a.m. to 6 p. m., March 2, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 3, at Riveredge Restaurant Grand Ballroom, in Reading. The theme of the 2013 event is Serving Our Community Together.

Radiant Light will donate $1 from every admission fee to the nonprofit HelpHOPELive Mid-Atlantic Heart Transplant Fund, which was created more than 28 years ago to assist the uninsured in meeting expenses for heart transplants. Donations will also be collected through chair massages and an auction of local arts, crafts and other items.  The funds will be earmarked to support a local woman, whose life-long struggle with congenital heart defects has led to several surgeries and ongoing medical issues. The recipient is on a transplant waiting list and hopes to receive a new heart within the next year.

The event showcases products and services for alternative healthcare, such as holistic and chiropractic wellness centers, Reiki and massage therapy, reflexology, therapeutic oils and aromatherapy mists. Health, wellness and spiritual practitioners will give lectures throughout the day. Gift and spiritual items on display will include crystals, gems, aura photos, jewelry, art, meditation tools, books, ion foot cleanses and spiritual consultations.
