 Natural Awakenings Lancaster-Berks

Delicious Dinners Pop Up At Expressly Local

Sharing a passion for local ingredients, decadent eating and a non-elitist approach to food culture, cook Nick Furrow and grocer Cheryl Young are collaborating to throw monthly pop-up restaurant events. Expressly Local, a healthy food market with a warm, seasonal atmosphere, will host this month’s pop-up on December 14. Admission, open to all ages, includes three bountiful courses of rustic, real food plus live music.

Furrow trained as a cook in Milan and Bologna, Italy, and New York City before moving to Lancaster to be part of the town’s rapidly evolving food scene and have access to locally grown, affordable produce. He and Young believe that eating local food benefits the community’s economy, soil quality, public health and vibrancy. Together, they will bring the highest quality seasonal fruits, vegetables, dairy and meat to the table in an informal, hospitable and elegant setting.

Cost: $20 per person; BYOB is encouraged. Location: 213 W. King St., Lancaster. For more information or to reserve a table, call 717-295-1850, email [email protected] or find Expressly Local on Facebook.
