Sustainability Advocate Joins U.S. Green Building Council

Rick Frescatore, president and CEO of Fresco Green, has joined the board of the nonprofit U.S. Green Building Council, Central Pennsylvania chapter (USGBC-CP), as the membership committee co-chair. New board members help promote and educate people throughout the region on green building, sustainability and enhancing our communities.

An advocate for sustainable building and living solutions, Frescatore has worked in the field for almost three decades. He serves as a director on the board of the Keystone chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors and is a committee chair of the Green Building Council for the Building Industry Association of Lancaster. Frescatore is also active on the marketing committee of the Downtown Improvement District, in Lancaster City, and is a member of the Susquehanna Sustainable Business Network.

The mission of USGBC-CP is to promote environmentally responsible design, planning, construction and operation of the built environment through education, outreach and networking. Its vision is to achieve a sustainable Central Pennsylvania built environment in which green practices have become mainstream.
