Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation
During this 4-week introductory program you will learn the definition of mindfulness, explore helpful meditation techniques and address the common challenges that get in the way of a successful meditation practice.
Mindfulness has been shown in research and studies to be useful for improving both physical and mental health. It is especially helpful for stress, anxiety and depression. It can also be a very meaningful spiritual path leading to greater peace in life.
Despite these amazing benefits, many people struggle to create a successful practice expressing uncertainty if they are doing it "right" and unsure how to overcome the challenges such as restlessness, boredom and discomfort.
During this 4-week introductory program you will learn the definition of mindfulness, explore helpful meditation techniques and address the common challenges that get in the way of a successful meditation practice. This is a great class for beginners and those who currently meditate but would like some additional support.
Taught by Suzanne Accardo, M.Ed. Suzanne is currently enrolled in the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach and enjoys sharing the healing benefits of Meditation with others.
