Nature's Explorers: Creative Writing and Poetry

Children discovering new ways of seeing and being in the natural world

NATURE’S EXPLORERS: CREATIVE WRITING AND POETRY is the first in a series of children’s environmental education events that will be held outdoors at the Dale-Engle-Walker property this spring. The Nature’s Explorers series will allow children to experience nature through such diverse entry points as birds, bugs, plants, art and more—each presented by a Bucknell University professor. Leading off the series on April 10 is Katie Hays, assistant professor in the Creative Writing Program of the BU English Department and the author of three books of poetry.

Each of the 90-minute events will be held on Saturdays beginning at 2 pm and requires a $7 fee. Register for the Creative Writing session, or any session, on the Lewisburg Children’s Museum website at https://www.lewisburgchildrensmuseum.org /natures-explorers. The series is sponsored by the Merrill Linn Conservancy, Bucknell University and the Lewisburg Children's Museum
