Juan Valencia, owner of Kiros Beauty LLC, a distributor of beauty products, has launched Amapelo, a caffeine hair care product line including growth-stimulating shampoo, deep conditioner and styling foam, in the Lancaster and Berks areas. Caffeine, a natural antioxidant and proven stimulant, has been gaining recognition recently as one of the most promising ingredients to improve circulation in the scalp and stimulate hair follicle growth.  

Valencia is originally from Manizales, Colombia, and caffeine is close to his heart. For the Valencia family, coffee is far more than a cup of java. The Valencia family business has revolved around coffee for more than 100 years. Their great-grandfathers owned coffee farms, and their parents grew up in the mountains of Colombia learning how coffee is cultivated, hand-picked at the right time, and sun dried to perfection.  

“Creating Amapelo was a way to bring together a revolutionary ingredient in the hair care industry with my family’s cultural heritage,” shares Valencia.
