 Natural Awakenings Lancaster-Berks

Community Quest for Clues Will Raise Funds for Future Generations

Compass Mark, a nonprofit provider of services to prevent addictions by cultivating healthy, skilled individuals, will hold its annual fundraiser, Riddle Quest, a scavenger hunt for teams of four, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 20, in Lancaster. This game of hidden clues offers contestants an opportunity to win prizes valued up to $3,000.

All proceeds from the day’s events will go to the Future Generations programs at Compass Mark, which empower and support youth in the community, reinforcing the organization’s mission to reduce the harmful use of and the addiction to alcohol and other drugs.

Contestants begin by checking in at the entrance to the Lancaster Marriott Hotel and County Convention Center, where they receive a hunt map, a passport and 10 riddles. Teams will search the city for answers and stamps by visiting Riddle Stops, which are downtown businesses that, the contestants believe, hold their answers. The teams that choose the most correct stops and collect the most stamps in particular categories win. To be in the running for the highest value prizes in Riddle Quest, teams may elect to raise funds for Compass Mark.

Event Location: 25 S. Queen St., Lancaster. For more information, email [email protected] or visit CompassRiddles.org.
