Berks County Earth Day 2020

50th Anniversary Celebration

The Berks County Earth Day Committee will host the Berks County Earth Day Celebration in Reading on Sunday, September 27, 2020. The family friendly event will be free to the public and held rain or shine. Guests are welcome to join in celebrating the 50th Anniversary, commemorating the first National Earth Day back in 1970. The day will include educational lectures and activities suitable for all ages. There will be hands-on demonstrations, artisan vendors, local cuisine, interactive children’s activities, art installations, live music, entertainment and more!

The committee is passionate about educating residents of Berks County on environmental awareness and the challenges our planet is facing today. Topics of discussion will include Energy Efficiency, Land and Water Conservation & Usage, Environmental & Social justice, Climate Change, as well as many other environmental and sustainability practices.

Special thanks to event sponsors: City of Reading, East Penn Manufacturing, First Energy, High Construction, Mitsubishi Chemical, Natural Awakenings Magazine, Reading Fightn’ Phils, Thompkins Vist Bank, and UGI, among others. The event is in memory of Bud and Alice Ayers. Sponsorship and vendor opportunities are still available.
