Art Bot Throwdown
Sponsored by Pennsylvania College of Art & Design and The Lancaster Science Factory
Do you love making art robots? Are you wondering, “What’s an art bot and how can I make one?”
Art bots (sometimes called scribble bots) are robots that draw on their own using art supplies for legs. Their vibrating motor sends them skipping across paper, drawing at the same time.
Join our team of expert builders and artists from the Lancaster Science Factory and Pennsylvania College of Art & Design on the March First Friday for our Art Bot Throwdown!
We’ll help you build your art bot, or if you already have a scribble bot, you can modify or enhance your creation. Then you get to dive into endless art supplies to add your creative ideas to turn the bot-drawing into a real robot/human masterpiece! Display your bot and art for a round of community voting and win the title of “Best Art Bot” or “Best Robot-Human Art”
Participation is free but if you become attached to your art bot (because who wouldn’t want to have a robot around that’s always ready to draw when you are?), you can take it home for $5. Good for ages 7 and up.
