KUDOS-Take Heart Counseling & Equine Assisted Therapy: Take Heart Counseling and Equine Assisted Therapy

The counseling team at Take Heart Counseling & Equine Assisted Therapy is growing and always learning to better serve our community. Therapist Dana Haldeman graduated in May with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Lancaster Bible College. Haldeman will remain full time at Take Heart. Her specialties include trauma-informed counseling and equine interventions, caregivers and siblings of individuals with disabilities, and kids and teens with anxiety and depression

In mid-June, Haldeman and owner/licensed counselor Meagan Good completed their official certifications in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy through OK Corral Series, learning from one of the originators in the equine psychotherapy field, Greg Kersten.

New intern Carrie Landis joins the team this summer. Landis will graduate in 2020 with her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Lancaster Bible College as well. She too has a special interest in horses and healing

“We are so proud of the counselor and person Dana has become over her last year here as an intern,” enthuses Good.We want to congratulate the team and welcome new clients who feel they could heal and grow here with us on the farm.”
